Matthew Barry

Casting Director, Producer, Acting Coach

After a successful acting career (Bernardo Bertolucci's "Luna") and 25+ years as a successful casting director ("The Notebook" "Rush Hour 1 and 2" "The Other Woman"), Matthew's newest passions are Teaching and Producing.

His first producing venture came with the Nick Cassavetes directed "Alpha Dog" which launched Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Ben Foster, Emile Hirsch, Olivia Wilde and the late Anton Yelchin. He then co-produced the comedy "Lonely Street" starring Katt Williams. Currently he's producing the real life hostage drama, "Good Guys", financed by Das Films and in production by 4th quarter 2019. His TV series, "The Privilege" is currently being considered at the major networks.

As a teacher, his students include breakout star Danielle MacDonald ("Dumplin' opposite Jennifer Aniston), Bella Dayne and Louis Hunter (both stars of the Netflix series "Troy: Fall of a City"), Jillian Rose Reed (star of MTV's "Awkward") and many others.

"I want to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. You sparked something that I'm not sure you are aware of. Long story short, I just got cast in "The Hunger Games" and it's all thanks to God and what happened in your workshop. Everything happens for a reason and your initial enthusiasm sparked all of this."
